America's Sweetheart Pageant!
In Hoopeston Illinois every Labor Day there is a pageant for all the 1st runner up's in the Nation. It is called the Sweetheart Pagent. It is held in connection with the National Sweet Corn Festival. For the past several years all the Utah contestants have stayed at Bob and Wilma Knight's home. They treat her like a queen! Every year after if and when their "girl" returns to compete at Miss Utah...Bob and Wilma come out to support her. Last year their girl was Jill Stevens and she won Miss Utah and went on to Miss America. Bob and Wilma were right there supporting her! Thay are amazing people and we have all love them. Whitney now has the opportunity to go to Hoopeston and compete! Bob and Wilma are so excited to host her!
